The Obsidian Vision Name
Ob ·sid ·i ·an  n.  A
volcanic glass similar in composition to granite, usually dark but transparent in thin pieces
and having a good conchoidal fracture. Amorphous. Ancient people throughout the world have
used obsidian for arrowheads, knives, spearheads, and cutting tools of all kinds. Obsidian served as a powerful tool for the indigenous peoples throughout
America and is said to dissolve fear. It is in this "vision" that the company name was chosen.
"Obsidian Vision" represents the solid and useful tool of the obsidian rock, as well as, the dignity
and respect of the ancient people throughout this land.

Notes:
Personal history of our name
As a child growing up in San Rafael, California my brothers and I
occasionally dug up obsidian arrowheads from our backyard and often found obsidian
rocks in the surrounding hills. These memories have remained like footprints in my mind,
reminding me of the incredible Miwok Nation, that once inhabited this area.
